The Artisan Table is looking for experienced artists, makers, craftspeople, and creative professionals who enjoy teaching. Instructors should be able to lead an engaging, hands-on workshop and create a welcoming experience for students of different ages and skill levels. If you have a creative skill or specialty you’d like to share, we’d love to hear your workshop idea.

We welcome a wide variety of creative workshops, including pottery, ceramics, painting, drawing, sewing, fiber arts, crafting, gardening, wellness, kids art classes and other hands-on creative classes. We’re interested in both one-time workshops and multi-session courses. If your workshop is creative, hands-on, and appropriate for our studio environment, we’d love to explore the idea with you.

No. You do not need to have every detail of your class figured out before you apply. We’ll work with you to develop the workshop, including the course format, pricing, materials, supplies, ideal class size, and instructor compensation. Our goal is to make it easy for you to turn your creative expertise into a great class for students.

Instructor onboarding begins with an initial conversation about your experience and the workshop you’d like to teach. From there, we’ll work together to finalize your class details and complete an Instructor Agreement. You’ll then complete studio training, review the workshop details, and prepare for your first class. Once your workshop is ready, we’ll add it to the schedule and open registration.

Workshop pricing is determined collaboratively between the instructor and The Artisan Table. We’ll consider the type and length of the class, materials and supplies, student experience, expected class size, and other workshop details when establishing a suggested price. The final pricing and other class details will be documented in the Instructor Agreement.

Materials and supplies are determined during the workshop planning process. We’ll identify what The Artisan Table can provide through the studio and what the instructor will need to provide or purchase specifically for the class. These responsibilities will be documented in the Instructor Agreement so there is a clear plan before the workshop takes place.

The ideal class size depends on the type of workshop, the activities involved, the available studio space, and the experience you want to create for students. We’ll work with you to determine an appropriate class size during the workshop planning process and document it in your Instructor Agreement.

Instructor compensation is determined as part of the workshop planning process. We’ll discuss the class format, pricing, expected enrollment, materials, and studio fees when developing your workshop. Your compensation and other important workshop details will be documented in the Instructor Agreement. After the workshop, The Artisan Table will process the instructor payment according to the agreed-upon terms.

The Artisan Table handles the administrative side of your workshop so you can focus on teaching. We’ll promote your class, manage student registration and bookings, process payments, communicate important information to students, and coordinate the workshop schedule. Your role is to bring your expertise and create an excellent hands-on experience for your students.

Workshop scheduling is a collaboration between The Artisan Table and our instructors. We’ll consider the type of workshop, instructor availability, student demand, and the overall studio schedule when determining when classes are offered. Workshops that consistently attract students may receive additional scheduling opportunities.

Instructors at The Artisan Table work as independent contractors (1099) rather than employees. Instructors are responsible for reporting their income and handling their applicable tax obligations.

The Artisan Table is a creative studio located at 215 NE 1st Ave in Mineral Wells, Texas. We offer hands-on creative experiences designed to bring artists, makers, instructors, locals, and visitors together through creative workshops and classes.

Both one-time workshops and multi-session courses can be a good fit for The Artisan Table. We’re interested in workshops that serve local students as well as experiences that appeal to visitors looking for creative activities in Mineral Wells, TX. We’ll work with you to determine the format that makes the most sense for your class.

We’ll review your idea and email you to setup time to discuss your experience, develop the workshop, and determine whether it’s a good fit for The Artisan Table.

Sometimes. Food and drinks may be allowed during certain workshops and private events when the studio determines they can be safely consumed in the space. Safety depends on the materials, tools, and processes being used during the class. For example, food and drinks are not permitted while working with pottery glaze or stained glass because those materials and processes can create safety and contamination concerns. The Artisan Table will determine whether food and drinks are appropriate for each workshop or private event, and will note it in the class description during sign-up.
