Owl Needle Felting | Nov 7th, 1-3 PM

$30.00

Saturday, November 7, 2026 | 1:00-3:00 PM
Instructor: Sharon Heard

Spend a cozy fall afternoon discovering the calming art of needle felting! In this class, you’ll turn soft, fluffy wool into your own handmade felted owl, one gentle poke at a time. This class is BYOB and snacks are allowed.

Needle felting is a simple but magical craft. Using a special barbed needle, you’ll repeatedly poke loose wool fibers, causing them to tangle and tighten together. Little by little, the wool firms up and takes shape, letting you sculpt soft, three-dimensional pieces with nothing more than wool, a needle and your own two hands.

You’ll start by shaping a round, plump body, then bring your owl to life with wings, a tiny beak, big bright eyes and soft feather details. Whether yours turns out wise, sleepy or a little bit silly, it’ll be full of personality.

It’s a slow, relaxing and surprisingly satisfying art form, perfect for unwinding and letting your creativity take the lead. Because every owl is shaped by hand, no two will ever look alike.

By the end of class, you’ll leave with a charming, one-of-a-kind felted owl to display all season long, along with a new skill you can keep exploring at home.

What you’ll make: One handmade, needle-felted wool owl, including: (1) a sculpted 3D body, (2) wings, eyes and a beak, (3) and soft feather details.

  • What needle felting is and how it works
