Spend a cozy holiday afternoon discovering the calming art of needle felting! In this class, you’ll turn soft, fluffy wool into up to three handmade felted Christmas ornaments, one gentle poke at a time. This class is BYOB and snacks are allowed.

Needle felting is a simple but magical craft. Using a special barbed needle, you’ll repeatedly poke loose wool fibers, causing them to tangle and tighten together. Little by little, the wool firms up and takes shape, letting you sculpt soft, three-dimensional pieces with nothing more than wool, a needle and your own two hands.

Choose from four festive designs: a jolly Santa, a playful elf, a sweet gingerbread man or a cheerful snowman. Make three of the same or mix and match to build your own little holiday crew! You’ll shape and sculpt each ornament, add colors, details and finishing touches, then attach a hanging loop so it’s ready for the tree. Whether yours turn out sweet, whimsical or a little bit silly, each one will be full of personality.

Felted ornaments make wonderful handmade gifts. Tie one onto a wrapped present, tuck one into a stocking, or give one to a teacher, neighbor or friend. Keep one for yourself, and you’ll have a cozy keepsake to bring out year after year.

It’s a slow, relaxing and surprisingly satisfying art form, perfect for unwinding and letting your creativity take the lead. Because every piece is shaped by hand, no two will ever look alike.

By the end of class, you’ll leave with up to three charming, one-of-a-kind felted ornaments ready to hang on your tree or gift to someone special, along with a new skill you can keep exploring at home.

What you’ll make: Up to three handmade, needle-felted wool Christmas ornaments in your choice of designs: (1) Santa, (2) elf, (3) gingerbread man, (4) or snowman, each with colorful details and a hanging loop, ready for your tree or for gifting.
